 Review of Apollo 13

 I watched the movie Apollo 13, so I will tell you about this movie. This movie based on the real story.  The third moonship to go to the moon Apollo 13 would launch soon. Three people would go to the moon. They are the captain called Jim, the pilot of moonship called Fred and the pilot of command ship called Ken. Jim has gone to the moon in Apollo 11. Their plan went well but Ken made contacts with a person having rubella infection. And he doesn’t have immunity to rubella, so he couldn’t go to the moon with them. He felt very blue. A backup person Jack would go instead of Ken.

  At last, Apollo 13 launched on 1970 April 11. The time was 13:13. The launch was good, but after that the one engine had trouble. However it was estimated that there is no trouble for the mission by control tower, so the problem was solved. When the arrival was soon, the second problem happened. Suddenly something exploded. At first three people couldn’t know what happened. However they watched something like gas escaping from the body of a ship, and the oxygen meter was decreasing exponentially. They understood something like gas was oxygen. They told about it to control tower soon. It was such an awful situation because oxygen is necessary for people and is used to make electric power. So they must give up the moon landing.

 They had to use the ship Aquarius for the moon landing as an accident boat. They stopped the electric power except main computer’s electric power source. That is why the temperature in the ship was decreasing. They fought the cold. The problem happened wave after wave. Next problem was exhaled carbon dioxide by the crew. Aquarius was a twin-seater, but the crew was three. So carbon dioxide concentration was rising. They made somehow a device to filter the carbon dioxide from Aquarius to the service module Odyssey. They solved the problem again. They need to 4A to enter the atmosphere, but it was nothing. However they could get the electric power thanks to Ken. Odyssey was undocked from the command ship, they tried to enter the atmosphere. Ordinarily when they enter the atmosphere, they lose touch with them about for three minutes. After three minutes, the connection from them still didn’t come. After four minutes, at last, the connection from them was coming! They achieved return to the earth, which was the miracle.

 I watched it with exciterment. I know about Apollo 13 a little, but I watched the movie Apollo 13 for the first time. I was impressed.
